November 20, 2026
Works submitted after the deadline may be difficult to include due to the editorial schedule. Please make sure to submit your works by the deadline.
For currently enrolled university students and overseas poets, both the publication fee and the review fee are waived.
Final works for publication will be selected through a review process. If necessary, authors may receive suggestions regarding seasonal expression, wording, form, or other aspects of the submitted works.
All submissions should be prepared with reference to the Korean Haiku Creation Guide.
Before submitting, please carefully review the following points:
For consistency and overall quality of the anthology, minor editorial adjustments may be made to spacing, notation, arrangement, and related matters during the editing process.
SUMNORGEE is not intended simply to fill a volume with a certain number of works. Rather, it seeks to document the current creative level and seasonal sensibility of Korean haiku.
Authors are therefore encouraged to select carefully revised works rather than submitting a large number of pieces at once. Whenever possible, submissions should reflect a variety of seasonal emotions, natural imagery, and scenes from everyday life.
In particular, we recommend submitting a balanced selection that includes works from spring, summer, autumn, and winter, rather than concentrating heavily on a single season.
To broaden the foundation of Korean haiku, nurture the next generation of poets, and promote international exchange, currently enrolled university students and overseas poets are exempt from both the publication fee and the review fee.
University students may be asked to provide proof of current enrollment. For overseas poets, separate guidance may be provided regarding submission procedures and translation notation.
We warmly welcome submissions from all those who share a love of Korean haiku.
