The Korea Haiku Federation recommends installing the KHF Web App to provide members with a more convenient user experience and to deliver important information—such as lectures, events, submission notices, festivals, and major announcements—more quickly.
The KHF Web App is different from a typical app that must be searched for in an app store or requires a separate sign-up process.
It allows you to use the Korea Haiku Federation website like an app by adding it to the home screen of your smartphone or tablet, or to your desktop on a PC.
What are the benefits of installing the web app?
You can open the Korea Haiku Federation website directly by tapping the KHF icon, without having to search for the site each time.
You can check important information about lectures, events, submissions, festivals, and other activities more quickly.
If you allow notifications, you can receive push notifications for important announcements and updates from the Korea Haiku Federation.
You can install and use the web app separately on smartphones, tablets, and PCs.
No app store search or software purchase is required, and the service is free of charge.
Installation is simple
When the web app installation notice appears, tap “Install KHF Web App” and follow your browser’s instructions.
Once the installation is complete, you will be able to find the KHF icon on the home screen of your smartphone or tablet, or in the app list or desktop environment of your PC.
On iPhone and iPad, you can install the web app through Safari by selecting Share → Add to Home Screen.
Installation status is checked automatically
When a signed-in member actually opens the installed KHF Web App, the system automatically confirms the installation status.
This means that members who have already completed installation will not continue to receive unnecessary installation notices.
Members may also install and use the web app on multiple devices, such as a smartphone and a tablet.
Privacy and personal information
You do not need to enter any additional personal information in order to install the web app.
The Korea Haiku Federation uses only the minimum device-related information necessary to distinguish installation status and does not separately collect IP addresses or unnecessary personal information for this purpose.
Push notifications are available only when the member personally chooses to allow notifications.
Why do we recommend installing the web app?
The purpose of the web app is not to inconvenience members.
As the Korea Haiku Federation expands its activities in Korea and abroad, including lectures, publication of works, international exchanges, and festivals, the amount of information that needs to be shared is increasing.
The web app is therefore designed to help us deliver important information to members more quickly and accurately while making access to the Federation more convenient.
Once installed, you will be able to access and use the Korea Haiku Federation much more easily.
