Born in Daegu in 1959. Graduated from the Department of English Education at Kyungpook National University; M.A. in Education from the Graduate School of Education, Kyungpook National University; Ph.D. in English Literature from Kyungpook National University. Served as a dispatched teacher at the University of Tsukuba, Japan. Worked as an English teacher in middle and high schools for 27 years, and as a career and college counseling teacher for 13 years. Former President of the Busan Career and College Counseling Teachers Association. Served as an admissions committee member for foreign language high schools for 12 years. Debuted as a Korea Haiku writer in March 2026.
