Korea Haiku Advanced Course


  1. 1. Purpose

This course is an advanced learning program designed to develop professional competence in the field of Korea Haiku. Through comprehensive and multidimensional study of Korea Haiku theory and history, textual analysis and criticism, and creative techniques, participants will deepen their understanding of the meaning and value of Korea Haiku works. The course also aims to cultivate well-rounded creative practice and multifaceted critical ability through connections with various literary genres.


  1. 2. Educational Goals

This course seeks to achieve the following three major educational goals.

  1. 1) Strengthening Professional Expertise in Korea Haiku

□ To promote an advanced understanding of the history, form, structure, and techniques of Korea Haiku.

□ To improve the ability to analyze and interpret Korea Haiku works from multifaceted and multidimensional perspectives.

  1. 2) Strengthening Creative Ability and Creativity

□ To strengthen creative ability by applying various Korea Haiku forms and techniques.

□ To encourage the creation of Korea Haiku works that contain new perspectives and meanings.

  1. 3) Strengthening Critical Thinking and Literary Sensibility

□ To improve the ability to appreciate Korea Haiku works through analysis and criticism.

□ To cultivate a deep understanding and interpretive ability concerning the meaning and value of Korea Haiku works based on literary sensibility.

□ To present the possibilities of Korea Haiku by connecting Korea Haiku works with other literary genres from multidimensional perspectives.


  1. 3. Course Contents

A. Theory of Korea Haiku Composition Ⅰ

B. Theory of Korea Haiku Appreciation Ⅰ

C. Grammar of Korea Haiku Ⅰ

D. Psychology of Korea Haiku Ⅰ


  1. 4. Course Operation Policy

This course is an eight-week program, consisting of two hours per week for a total of sixteen hours. Participants must attend at least 80% of the classes in order to complete the course.

□ Admission Information: Announced on the website

□ Opening Ceremony: Held during the first class

□ Application Method: Submit by email to khf@koreahaiku.org

□ Application Form: Available through the notice section on the main page of the website or from the Federation office

□ Course Participation Fee: KRW ○ per month, for a total eight-week course

※ Textbooks or lecture materials are included.

※ Classes are held once a week for two hours, divided into Period 1 and Period 2.
