Official Announcement: Closing of Submissions and Message of Gratitude

Korea Haiku World Youth Festival 2026
Official Announcement: Closing of Submissions and Message of Gratitude
"One Line, Connecting the World"
The submission period for <the Korea Haiku World Youth Festival 2026> successfully concluded on October 21, 2026.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the young poets from around the world who shared their precious haiku with us, as well as to the haiku poets, literary organizations, educational institutions, and supporters, both in Korea and abroad, whose generous encouragement and support have contributed to the success of this festival.
Each haiku, born from different countries, languages, and cultures, represents far more than a literary work. It marks the beginning of a meaningful cultural exchange, connecting nature, the seasons, and the human spirit.
In particular, the sincere perspectives and creative expressions of young poets from across the globe have revealed new possibilities for haiku literature. Their contributions have deepened the meaning of the **literary solidarity that connects the world through a single line of poetry**, which lies at the heart of this festival.
We are also deeply grateful to the haiku poets and organizations around the world whose warm encouragement and generous cooperation have transcended national borders, making this festival all the more meaningful.
With submissions now closed, we will proceed with preparations for a fair and thoughtful evaluation of all submitted works, followed by the remaining stages of the festival. We are committed to respecting the creative spirit of every participant and carefully appreciating the unique emotions and literary qualities expressed in each work.
A small poem can connect the world, and the perspectives of today's young poets can shape the literature of tomorrow.
Once again, we express our deepest appreciation to everyone who has been part of this festival.
We sincerely hope that your interest, participation, and support will help lay the foundation for a new future in world haiku literature.

Thank you.
